Mission of the Department
The mission of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology is to produce excellent scholars capable of developing the scientific knowledge of sociology, anthropology and criminology and proper application of that knowledge for the development of Sri Lanka and its social harmony. By offering graduate and postgraduate degree courses in Sociology, Anthropology and Criminology, the Department producers scholars required for various purposes of building the nation.
